With pleasure I welcome you to the General Services Department home page. General Services Department of the United Arab Emirates University considered as one of the most important departments in the University that showed a number of success in both academic and administrative levels. The work within the department has been carried out at well scaled levels and with firm steps contributing to the high profile services provided by the department units.
The department striving to enhance the quality of those services provided through its three units, primarily; the Auxiliary Service Unit which provides transportation services through a huge light and heavy vehicles fleet, focusing on the students and other academic as well administrative categories in accordance with a well planned approach to ensure conductive atmosphere to this service beneficiaries
The second unit is the Employee Services Unit and it goes by providing a spate of services such as suitable accommodation for the University eligible employees, health insurance to the faculty and staff members & their respective eligible families, passport services in terms of facilitating passport transactions with the state Immigration and Passports Department to save them time and effort in this regard.
Last but not least, there is the Publishing Unit which plays an arterial role as it adds and contributes to the various services provided by the Department through offering all printing services needed by the other departments of the entire University. In addition, the Publishing Unit represents the UAE University through participating in book fairs and exhibitions organized across the country.
Therefore, in its endeavor to attain its own vision based on upgrading the services provided, the Department is seeking cooperation to boost effective communication for the sake of achieving the ultimate goal i.e. the satisfaction of customers and attaining the best results that impact positively on the University.
