It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to the New Financial Affairs website. Financial Affairs takes care of thousands of individual accounts, official government funding and all University procurement and transactions.
The Finance Division has gone through a restructuring recently to better serve the needs of the University and its stakeholders. The Office of the Chief Financial Officer is supported by the Controller's Department, Procurement Department, Budget and Planning Department, and the Financial Operations Department.
Our team is united by a common aim to promote decision making and problem solving, cooperation and communication with the goals of improving resource utilization at UAE University and developing a culture of efficiency and effectiveness. We are committed to enhance our processes to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. We will help facilitate faculty, staff, students and the greater community of UAE University in developing solutions to overcome the University's financial challenges.
I am confident in the capabilities and leadership abilities of the Financial Affairs Team. I am also encouraged by the improvement the Finance Division has already made, but there is still much to be achieved. We will continue to supervise the University's resources in an environment of quality and integrity and strengthen relationships with its greater community through sincerity and hard work.
