Teaching, Learning, and Educational Technology

Educational Technology embodies the application of scientific knowledge and skills for practical, educational purposes and combines elements from a broad spectrum of disciplines including psychology, sociology, learning theory and information technology.

At the CETL  we help faculty identify, select, master and employ strategically selected educational technologies in order to promote effective teaching and learning. We emphasize reasoned, balanced approaches that compliment and enhance an educator's academic background and teaching style.

Our Vision

The CETL will become the leading center in the Gulf region for educational technology, pedagogical innovation, and faculty development, whose services and activities are strongly appreciated and recognized by faculty members and peers both within the realm of UAEU and beyond. We strive for a high level of faculty involvement and satisfaction as well as effective collaboration with academic units and programs both on campus and at other institutions.
