Why UAEU
The United Arab Emirates University is the first and foremost National University in the United Arab Emirates. Founded in 1976, the UAEU has pioneered new transformations in the education sector, building foundations for the economy and the country.
Diversity
We train government leaders, business entrepreneurs, and medical practitioners. We have the largest teacher training center in the country. We create experts in food sciences and information technologies. We develop lawyers and legal understandings. We build engineers and we train media professionals. No other education institution in the UAE offers a wider range of bachelor programs than the UAEU.
Higher Learning
With a focus on the future and the region, the UAEU is continually exploring new programs and opportunities for students in the UAE. We are currently leading the sector forward with a slew of robust postgraduate programs, including the first ever national university PhD program, offered across all our 9 Colleges.
New Campus
This year, 2010, sees the beginning of our move to a state of the art new UAEU campus. With modern architecture, zones for specialized research centers, cutting edge IT network infrastructure and twenty first century spaces for learning, we are really looking forward to the transition.
Al Ain
By being centered in the University town of Al Ain, students and faculty can immerse themselves in their studies and research. Al Ain, known as the "Garden City" because of the dozens of parks, oasis and trees lined avenues, offers a wealth of leisure and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
For the explorer, there is easy access to the deep deserts and red sands of inner Arabia, as well as the opportunity to visit the nearby mountains, including the one of the largest mountains in the UAE - Jebel Hafeet. City life includes all the modern amenities you are used to, such as glitzy shopping malls, international hotel chains and traditional markets, not forgetting Al Ain Football Club.
