Turkmen Ambassador Visits UAEU to Strengthen the Scientific and Cultural Relations
H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, Vice Chancellor of United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) met with H.E Orazmyrat Gurbannazarov, Turkmen Ambassador in the UAE at the new University campus in Al Ain, to discuss the mechanisms of enhancing the scientific and cultural relations between UAEU and Turkmen universities as well as educational organizations. Dr. Al Noaimi, welcomed the Turkmen Ambassador and explained briefly about the University, its colleges and the achievements of the last decade. He also highlighted that the University today has many scientific and human departments that obtained international accreditation, which qualifies UAEU to be ranked as one of the pioneer international universities. The University has established international partnerships with many universities and educational organizations, and also welcomes students from around the world for study and training opportunities. He also expressed the University’s willingness to collaborate with Turkmen universities in all fields of science and culture.
The Turkmen Ambassador praised the academic and technical level of UAEU and stated that, “One of the most important criteria in measuring the development of a country is its interest in developing science and culture, and the UAE is one of the leading countries in this field.” During his meeting with the Vice Chancellor, they discussed possibilities of collaboration between UAEU and Turkmen Universities through a signing of a memorandum of understanding or a mutual agreement for faculty and students exchange. They also discussed the possibility of hosting Turkmen students to explore and experience what UAEU has to offer. After the meeting the Ambassador toured the University campus and visited the first “Green Week” exhibition at UAEU, which was organized by the Architectural Engineering Students Society, where he admired the students’ projects and their creativeness. He also visited the University’s facilities, academic departments and laboratories. ”
