Table Tennis Friendship Championship at UAEU
The Student Life Department at UAEU organized a table tennis championship for Al - Ain universities which included United Arab Emirates University, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) and Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT). This championship aims to serve the community and strengthen the collaboration between universities and UAE higher education institutions. This championship is the first of many that will be conducted yearly with the aim to improve and support its success.
Mr. Ibrahim Mokhtar, Director of Sports Activities at UAEU and head of the organizing committee said, "this championship aims to create a competitive atmosphere among the students, to identify talented players, and to better serve the community by promoting team spirit and a healthy lifestyle. It also provided a great opportunity to encourage and attract more students to join the table tennis team.”
At the end of the championship, the organizing committee distributed the medals and prizes to the winners. The final was between two students from UAEU, and the winner was Ahmed Husni A Bakri, with a close second place going to Saeed Nabeel, and third place to Abdulrahman Al Ketbi from ADU.
The participating students expressed their gratitude to the organizing committee as well as UAEU for organizing this event that helped them to develop and sharpen their skills and abilities.
