UAEU Council Approves the Establishment of New Programs, Colleges and Centers
H.H.Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), chaired the first University Council meeting today for the Academic Year 2012/2013. The meeting sanctioned the awarding of degrees for graduates of the first, second and summer semesters for the Academic Year 2011/2012. H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, UAEU Vice Chancellor, declared, "The Council approved the establishment of a Masters Program in Professional Accounting at the College of Business and Economics along with a Masters of Engineering Management at the Abu Dhabi campus and the establishment of a Bachelors Program in Veterinary Medicine at the College of Food and Agriculture. The Council also agreed on the establishment of the University College, College of Graduate Studies, National Center for Public Policy and Leadership, and Emirates Health Services, in addition to the Institutional Accreditation of the University and the endorsement of Student Admission Policy for the Academic Year 2013/2014.
During the meeting, the Council approved the appointment of the Deans of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Education, and Students Affairs as well as the Vice Dean of the College of Education and the formation of College Councils.
