UAEU Welcomes Joint Cooperation with the University of Toledo from the US
H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, Vice Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) met a delegation from the University of Toledo, USA, chaired by Prof. Frank J. Calzonetti. During the meeting, Dr. Al Noami reassured the continued implementation of an open-door policy between UAEU and other universities following the directives of H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAEU Chancellor, who supports the mutual cooperation programs among UAEU, other universities and research centers in the world. "Such visits strengthen relations between the researchers and faculty members of the two universities especially in the field of mutual scientific research, exchange of research expertise and students exchange programs.
The American delegation also met with Prof. Sehamuddin Galadari, Vice Provost for Research & Graduate Studies and the Dean of Engineering, Science, and Food and Agriculture Colleges, to discuss and share current research areas. The Dean of Science presented the activities of the new National Water Center and Prof. Reyadh Almehaideb, Dean of Engineering, explained the research projects of the departments concerned with energy, electrical and civil engineering, gas and carbon dioxide treatments.
On the other side, the American Delegation presented the research fields of the University of Toledo, the scientific expertise available and the university's goal to find a broad partnership for cooperation with other universities in the same fields. The delegation visited the laboratories within the Colleges of Science, Food and Agriculture, and the National Water Center.
