About the Program
In May 2009, the UAEU announced the launch of the first PhD program at a national university in the United Arab Emirates.
PhD Program Model
The program follows an American model, which involves one year of course work to be followed by research and the writing of a dissertation over a further two to three year period. Standards are high, with admission and program quality managed by the Board of Graduate Studies, chaired by the Provost.

Areas of Study and Research
Areas of study and research for students seeking admission to the Ph.D. Program are represented in the Ph.D. research areas document.
Submit your Application
When you have completed the form, submit your application by email together with scanned copies of all documents required prior to submitting the originals.
Your application is not considered complete till all required documents are received. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure all required documents listed on the application form are submitted. Scanned copies can be submitted prior to original document submissions
