Admissions to UAEU
Students are admitted to UAEU on the basis of an assessment of their present academic qualifications and the instructional capacities of academic programs. UAEU offers students an unparalleled learning experience in a state-of-the-art educational environment.
The academic year at UAEU is made up of two semesters, (Fall and Spring) and a Summer session. In general, the Fall Semester runs from September through early January; the Spring Semester from February through early June; and the Summer session in June, July and August. The majority of the students enter in Fall. The Office of Admissions and Registration handles admissions to all the colleges in the University.
Students applying for an Undergraduate Program who do not meet the requirements for direct admission into their degree program, are required to take the University’s General Requirements Unit (UGRU) placement exams during the student orientation week. These exams include tests in English, Mathematics (algebra and pre-calculus), Computer Technology and Arabic.
